AeroShell Oil W Single Grade Oils are premium ashless dispersant lubricating oils for 4-Stroke cycle certificated aircraft piston engines. They have been proven in billions of engine hours around the world, including service in fuel-injected and turbocharged engines. These widely accepted oils contain a carefully selected additive combination that produces high viscosity index, dispersancy, oxidation stability and antifoam properties. These additives leave no metallic ash in the combustion chamber.

AeroShell Oils are straight mineral oils used primarily during break-in of most four-stroke cycle certificated aviation piston engines. AeroShell Oils are blended from selected high viscosity index base stocks and contain pour point depressants for improved fluidity at cold temperatures. AeroShell Oils are available in Aviation Grades 65, 80, 100 and 120 (SAE equivalent grades 30, 40, 50 and 60.).

AeroShell Oil W 100 Plus is a single grade ashless dispersant (AD) oil that brings together the best qualities of two of the country’s best selling four-cycle aviation oils. It has the ashless dispersant single grade performance found in AeroShell . Oil W 100 and the antiwear/anticorrosion additives of AeroShell Oil W 15W-50 multigrade. Its advanced additives work against engine wear, rust and corrosion. AeroShell . Oil W 100 Plus is especially effective in protecting critical cam and lifters in all engines.

AeroShell Oil W 15w-50 is a multi-grade ashless dipersant oil that provides the ultimate in aircraft piston engine protection over a wide range of ambient temperatures. AeroShell . Oil W 15w-50 utilizes a unique blend of high quality mineral oils and synthetic base stocks combined with the AeroShell Oil W 15w-50 additive system and a unique anti-corrosion and anti-wear additive. This semi-synthetic blend offers high performance in a wide variety of applications and conditions.

AeroShell Fluid 4 is a mineral-based hydraulic oil with low temperature characteristics that is capable of operating over a wide range of temperatures. This fluid is oxidation inhibited and contains a special anti-wear additive. AeroShell Fluid 4 is dyed red for identification and leak detection purposes. This product can be used in both aviation and non-aviation systems with synthetic rubber components, but should not be used in systems that incorporate natural rubber.

AeroShell Greases. Shell offers a complete line of eight aviation greases designed to fill almost every lubrication need of the aviation community. The product line consists of eight products each designed for specific applications. Six of the Shell aviation greases are based on Microgel ® , an inorganic thickening agent. The seventh grease is soap type grease specifically designed to provide the unique lubricant requirements of helicopter main and tail rotor bearings. The eighth grease is thickened with lithium complex soap and is approved against both Boeing and military specifications.
